The IBCP and Universities

Opportunities for further education continue to develop as the IBCP continues to grow in popularity worldwide. The BTEC and the IB Diploma courses are already recognised as separate components by universities. Through our network of staff a number of reciprocal arrangements have been made with UK universities who actively encourage applicants from GEMS Wellington  International School. In 2017, 3 of our graduating cohort went to the University of Greenwich to study Film and TV production and Media and Communication, further advocating the study of a professionally focused career-related study pathway.

We as a school believe whole heartedly in providing a wide range of courses that meet the needs of all of our students. We fully believe that the IBCP provides choice for students who wish to focus their academic pathway and gain professional skills and experience whilst completing their studies.

The entry requirement for the IBCP in Business is 5 GCSE sat grade C or above including Mathematics and English Language.
