Ruth Dunn
Head of Year 13 & CAS/SL Coordinator
I started my teaching career in Scotland, teaching
in schools in Central Scotland. After an 18 year career working in
banking in a variety of roles; including Business Relationship Manager,
Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager. I also owned and ran
two businesses of my own prior to retraining as a Teacher. I moved to Dubai in August 2020 with my family
and joined WIS as a Business & Economics Teacher. During my time at
WIS, I was Head of Business and also Head of Year 11 last year. I am passionate about the pastoral care and
wellbeing of our students and this is why I am excited to be moving forward
with my students. I firmly believe that the student is at the centre of
everything and the community around them needs to work together in partnership
to benefit their experiences and opportunities. Since joining WIS I have
worked hard to support students, parents and staff.
